This concrete poetry series outlines the issues of reducing and further marginalising funding for the arts. A world without music or words or images or films or games or paintings or sculptures or performance is not the kind of world I want to live in. And going by the global consumption and engagement with all art forms, nobody else wants to live in an artless world either. So maybe if more people understood the role arts funding plays in supporting the poorest paid, but biggest contributors to the second biggest economy in Victoria, then perhaps other people may want to stand up for their right to experience and engage with the arts.
